The Idaho Panhandle Gravel Series (IPGS) debuted in 2023 as the brainchild of Syringa Cyclery shop owner, Charles Mortensen.
The series comprises three races: The 3/4 Minus Cykeltur, Chafe 150, and Monarch Grind. Riders are given points based on their finishing place for each race they participate in and an overall winner is crowned at the end of the final race, Monarch Grind.

Since 1990, this fun ride gives everyone from competitive hill climbers to casual cyclists the chance to personally challenge themselves over the 9 miles and 2,400 feet from the railroad tracks at the bottom of Schweitzer Mountain Road to Schweitzer village!

Cyclocross Race
Syringa Cyclery and Pend Oreille Pedalers partner with Hickey Farms to provide a day of fun and competition for riders ages 5 and up. The 360 acre Hickey Farm provides the perfect venue for cyclocross. But don’t worry; if you don’t have a CX bike you can still participate in this race! We’ve opened it up to all disciplines: mountain bikes, singlespeeds, and even fat bikers are welcome to participate!
